LC Faculty,

The Assessment Team is busy correlating the results of all the observations and questions from last semester, and we're starting over again this semester! We are hurrying to get the results to you as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, below is the schedule for this semester's Observations and Student Focus Group Interviews and the names of the A Team members who will be working with each Learning Community.

Observation dates:

  • February 22 - March 5
  
  • April 5 - 16

Observers:

  • LC9 Terri

At this point, the facets that we decided to observe are really objective and general.

  • how many students/faculty present
  • physical environment
  • general number of participation
  • direction of interaction (especially questions), i.e., faculty to student/ student to student/student to faculty.

Please remember that this is both preliminary and not intended to judge how individual faculty are performing. We want to understand how the LCs operate. And everyone, of course, is invited to share ideas and observations with us.
