General Information
Submission of following forms are required to apply for programs through the University of South Florida. If you are unable to print out or access these application forms, please contact the Study Abroad Office for copies.

- Course Approval - students must get courses approved prior to program departure. Submit signed approval forms to the Study Abroad Coordinator.
- Terms and Conditions
- Note: although not required for your application to be considered, students are strongly urged to submit signed Course Approval Forms at the time of application. See Course Approvals for additional information.
- Personal Statement (Why you would like to participate? Est. 500 words)
- One letter of recommendation from an academic instructor or an advisor
- Most recent Academic Transcript (this can be obtained via FACTS.org)
- After you complete the program - Program Evaluation Form:
At the end of your program, we ask that you complete a Program Evaluation and submit it to: Evaluations, Study Abroad Office; University of South Florida; 4202 E. Fowler Ave., CPR107, Tampa, FL 33620-5550.
Application deadlines:
Complete applications must be submitted by the posted deadlines. Late applications will only be considered if space in the program permits.

Financial Aid recipients:
After the program deposit has been made and a student enrollment is confirmed in the program, USF Study Abroad students receiving financial aid (Bright Futures, loans, Prepaid, etc.) must submit the the Study Abroad Financial aid Certification & Contract to the Office of Financial Aid. Make an appointment with the Study Abroad Office for signature approvals before submission. Contact your Study Abroad Advisor for an appointment.
What to expect after you submit your application materials:
After the deadline, applicants will receive a reply letter which states if the student has been accepted by USF to have their applications forward to the foreign partner institutions. Accepted students will received a study abroad Contract, which confirms their acceptance of the program nomination and program fee and also verifies the due date for program fees.
Fall and Spring Semester abroad applicants will also have foreign host institution application forms and requirements to submit before their established deadlines March 20th and October 20th, respectfully.
Other required forms: Passports & Visas
A valid Passport is required for foreign travel. If you do not already have a passport or if your passport will expire within 6 months of your expected foreign travel time, you must apply for a passport. US Passport Information & Applications
US citizens: Check with Foreign Entry Requirements to verify if you will need a visa to enter your foreign target destinations.
Non-US citizens: Contact your Embassy in the US to verify if a visa is required for your target destination(s) abroad.
