The Microsoft Developers Network Academic Alliance
/ DreamSpark is a program that
allows students and faculty in technology and design fields to download
Microsoft software. MSDNAA
Enrollment Process
- You must be enrolled in an ISM / MIS
class.
- Your professor
will submit your name and USF email address to the MSDNAA
administrator. This happens after the drop/add period has
ended. You may opt out of this program by contacting your
professor.
- Once enrolled, you'll go to
the MSDNAA Site - also called 'the Elms site', click on ‘sign in’, go to the registration area and register.
Download MSDNAA Software
- When you are ready to download software, go to the MSDNAA site again (Internet
Explorer is recommended) and sign in.
- Navigate and select the
software you'd like to download. Note that Word, PowerPoint, and
Excel are not in that list - they are not considered 'developers
software'.
- Checkout, noting any serial
numbers/product codes given.
-
When you download the software, it will be an ISO file. With some
software you download a ‘downloader program’ first.
The
attached document (Installing
Software from an ISO file) gives you some tips on working with
ISO files.
***Note: if you have any problems
downloading or installing class-related software, please ask your ISM
professor to go over the instructions with you. |
