Subject: Honorary Degree Nominations

The Honors and Awards Council is currently soliciting nominations for Honorary Degrees for the 1999 Fall Semester. The due date for submission of nomination materials is Friday, September 10, 1999. The Honors and Awards Council will meet immediately following this deadline to review all nominees. It is essential that this deadline is met and that the nomination packets are complete.

Nominations should be transmitted through both the department chair and college dean (include written indication of such with any comments by both) prior to submission to the Honors and Awards Council. The department chair should use the nomination form as notification that a packet will be forthcoming.

All nomination materials should be forwarded to the Honors and Awards Council, c/o the Faculty Senate Office, ADM 226.

Honorary Degree guidelines and the nomination form are available on the Faculty Senate web site (http://web.usf.edu/FacultySenate/guide.html) or by contacting the Faculty Senate Office at 4-2889.
