ACADEMIC COMPUTING COMMITTEE
Reports to the Provost

Chair: Robert Nelson

Charge: Advises the Provost on priorities in allocation and utilization of academic computing financial resources; long- and short-range planning for computer resources and structures necessary to support the teaching and research function of the university; methods to encourage and facilitate the effective utilization of computing technology in the university's teaching and research functions; and all other matters relevant to academic computing. Members must be knowledgeable about computing needs within their units. Appointed by the Provost.

COMMENCEMENT AND CONVOCATION COMMITTEE
Reports to the Provost

Chair: Joan Kaywell

Charge: Responsible for advising the President, the Provost, and other appropriate university administrators on matters pertaining to commencements and convocations; providing assistance in planning and executing these ceremonies; organizing the marshal corps for the ceremonies; and recommending commencement speakers as appropriate. The faculty committee members will serve as members of the marshal corps. Appointed by the Provost.
