perspective and to increase understanding of academic issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Represent the USF faculty
perspectives on higher education issues to government officials.

the general faculty to serve for 3-year staggered terms. To assure
continuity and enhance long-term communication with the legislative

committee. After that time, a period of one year must elapse before a
member of the faculty may serve again on the Governmental Relations
Committee.
The Committee on Committees will solicit
nominations, review them and forward selected names to the SEC. The
SEC will review and may interview candidates to select final names to
be forwarded to the full Senate for final selection. Membership will
be chosen without regard to college or unit representation but must
endeavor to include at least one regional campus representative.
APPOINTMENT:
The Provost will appoint the voting members of
this committee upon the recommendation of the Faculty Senate.
